The twin turfs are the home of Manawatu Hockey in Palmerston North, New Zealand. Two FIH Global hockey pitches with state-of-the-art lighting.
The magnificent “Twin Turfs” boast
a stunning lighting upgrade.
Installation of the lights as part of a larger project of upgrading the facilities at Manawaroa Park – two new turfs, camera, new dugouts and now fantastic LED lighting. The installation proceeded with a survey of the light pole locations and heights. From there an accurate light plan was completed. The lights came pre-aimed so installation involved removing the old luminaires and ballasts and fitting the new Lumosa CS860pro luminaires.
As the site is often used for International matches it was important to have a lighting solution that was equal to the best offered throughout New Zealand. What was delivered is on par with that standard and gives opportunity for even televised matches.
